When a young person
realizes they were born with specific strengths and personal qualities,
they begin to see more clearly, not only who they were born to be as
a person, but the direction of their life purpose. Their self-awareness
allows them to understand the importance of listening to the good in
CEIA.
In the workbook's mind-maps-from-within, the “Foundation of Relationships” teaches them that that the strongest relationships are built on trust and honesty, beginning with with the one in the mirror.
Inter and intra personal skills are most powerfully taught from the inside out.

"Ownin' my own stuff" inspires students to tell themselves the truth-admit to their own positive and negative choices. During this process each student gets to look at current behaviors and identify those that work and those that don't work. It is during this specific process that two powerful changes occur. First, students learn and start to understand why they do what they do. Second, they learn they are at choice and they will pay or get paid for every choice they make. Good choices lead to positive results. Poor choices lead to negative results. |

conducted in a safe and fun environment. All students participate
together versus singling out or targeting specific individuals or
groups. "Life Rules," which also become classroom rules, are established.
The program is conducted in an open and forthright manner where honesty, trust, and truth are practiced and expected. Each student is given a
workbook, which becomes their
autobiography, "from the inside out."
Students have time for reflection, introspection, inquiry and to practice new behaviors. Music, games, discussions, small groups, videos and private time are incorporated to keep the program well-paced and the students involved.
